Mummification with Anubis
I don’t even care that this was more than likely made for kids. It was pretty awesome.
During the Middle Ages it was thought that mummies possessed healing properties. Egyptian mummies were ground into what was called mummy powder, which was then sold at hefty prices and used as medicine. Since it was hard to obtain, spurious merchants would use the sun-desiccated corpses of criminals, slaves and suicidal people to produce more mummy powder. This practice continued until the 19th century.
